Live dates for September - Swindon, Kingston and York

Some people thought it would never happen... a couple of times WE thought it would never happen.

But it has.

We're really pleased to say that we're out on a quick road trip at the end of September. The dates are:

Thursday 23 September, The 12 Bar, Swindon, Wilts.
Friday 24 September, The Peel, Kingston, Surrey.
Saturday 25 September, Stereo, York, North Yorks.

These are probably going to be our only band dates this year, so it'll be great to see as many of you as possible.

As usual with these things, we've got a few more details to confirm, so keep checking back for updates. Ok?

We'll see you out there!

Parade

Keen journalistic instincts and impeccable taste..

Hello there!

Anne and Gav have just completed a blinding run of springtime gigs with Panic Room, and Chris was delighted to provide acoustic support, stripping many of the songs from The Fabric down to their bare, nudey, quivering cores. It was bunch of very special evenings filled with great music and lovely people, so if you were there, thanks and thanks, and extra thanks with ice cream, a cherry, and hot chocolate sauce to Panic Room for being so awesome.

New Gigs!
We're booking some band gigs for summer to be announced soon. If there's anywhere you think we should play please get in touch.

In the meantime:

Chris is supporting Panic Room at the Y Theatre in Leicester on 25th April.

Chris and Anne-Marie are doing an acoustic set at the Progeny Festival in Leamington Spa on Sunday 9th May (at 1pm!) An hour an a quarter set for only a fiver.

Chris and Paddy are supporting the legendary Ian McNabb (ex-Icicle Works and cult indie icon) at the Duchess in York on 15th May.

Tickets for this one are £16.50 on the door, BUT if you want to get in for just £10send us message giving us your moblie number and we'll send you a text to show on the door that will give you the massive discount. We won't store your number or use it for anything else. That's a promise.

Big Distraction call it  "..a glorious burst of colour and noise.." and "A fantastic release from a band who will undoubtedly go on to great things, highly recommended."

They also interviewed Chris which makes an for an enlightening read if you click here.

Musical Discoveries give it 5 stars and say loads of nice things..

And 'best' doesn't have to mean most complimentary - write what you think. We just want to see some interesting writing and read your opinions. Doesn't have to be very long - just a few tightly written lines to encourage people to check out the album and support independent music.

How to Enter

1 Write your brilliant, well thought out, you-really-should-be-a-rock-journalist review of The Fabric .

2 Post it in the User Review section (or whatever they're calling it) on one of these sites:

iTunes

HMV

3 Show us what you've done and where by sending us the link to your review via our Contact page, or on our Facebook mullarky.

4 Wait until March to see if you've won! The prize will be completely remarkable in its greatness, but your instant reward is the heady haze of satisfaction at having toiled over something worthwhile that is now available for all to see. Ah, good times!

Tanks

Parade had a stonking run of shows with Josh and Co Limited which ended at the Robin2 on Sunday 13th December. We say a massive "Thanks You!" to Bryan Josh for inviting us on these gigs and making them such a pleasure to play. If you were there, thanks to you too - >>>> what did you think?
And if you couldn't make it, never mind - we'll be out again soon enough.

The Fabric is released on 25th January on Voiceprint records so we'll be generating as much promotion as we can muster to support it. Anyone able to help in any way, get in touch.

In the meantime we wish you all the positivity and good vibes in the world this Christmas, even if you're not really bothered about that kind of thing. Just get with some people that mean a lot to you and appreciate them. Maybe listen to some music that makes you happy....

Cherry Bust

Parade had a fabulous night on Saturday playing with Josh and Co Limited in Bedford. The sound was great, the crowd was great - thanks to all who attended. A very good turn out for two brand new bands! And they even had Chris' favourite bottles of beer in the offy next door.
We had a ball on stage and it was a real thrill to finally get the songs from the Fabric translated to a live setting. And we sold a load of CDs as well (thanks Jeanette!) Everybody we spoke to afterwards was lovely and very keen to hear more from us, which is encouraging and heartening. We relish your support.
Please let us know if you were there and what you thought on the Commune page.
If you weren't there get yourself to the Duchess in York on 4th December or the Robin 2 in Bilston on the 13th for a storming evening.
We've added a photo page for slideshows so if you were at the gig and have any lovely pictures get in touch and we'll put them up.
